Jeanette Anderson is the Visual, Performing and Literary Arts Intern at Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education. Sometimes she crosses three boroughs in one day. She commutes two days a week from Brooklyn to the Bronx. She is also a full-time student at Eugene Lang College in Manhattan. With the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards New York Region Affiliate move from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers to Casita Maria, Jeanette also moved. After almost a year with the Alliance, the transition to Casita was exciting and insightful: Casita’s programs never stopped unfolding and inspiring her. She now dedicates herself to Casita’s community outreach.
Desiree Watson is a High School Intern at Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education. She comes in 4- 5 days a week. She enjoys her co-workers delightful and engaging personalities. She now attends Bronx Community High School. She plans on attending Spellmen College. She enjoys watching the students come to Casita Maria. The art work, writing pieces, and happy students inspire Desiree to learn more and explore Casita Maria!
Jasmine Robinson is a 16 year old high school student attending Bronx Community High School. Jasmine likes to be called “Jazz. ” She’s interning for the Visual Arts Program. She is interning to learn more about business and office work. She’s also interested in a variety of art mediums. Jasmine is great at math and loves challenges. Her short term goals are to finish high school and go to college. In college Jazz would like to study many different things. If she narrows her studies down to five subjects, she would like to learn about Accounting, Culinary Arts, Journalism, Teaching, and Dance. Jasmine’s long term goal is to successfully start a restaurant and a day care center. Her alternate goals are to become a teacher in grade school, chef, book writer, and dancer.
